Depicting the portrait of the deceased on a monument using photo ceramics has been practiced for a long time and remains highly popular. Engraving stands as an alternative, but it delivers a completely different style of imagery, requiring a certain amount of production time and the professional touch of an artist. Photo ceramics, on the other hand, allow you to fit into tighter deadlines and achieve the desired result.

When it comes to choosing the material, there are 2 main options. These are metal or ceramics. Both are excellent in their own way and do not compromise on quality, yet each possesses its own unique characteristics, benefits, and advantages. For instance, metal is lighter, and such photo ceramics will cost significantly less. However, on 1 cm thick porcelain tiles, images turn out as bright, crisp, and realistic as possible. Moreover, these decorative elements look much more substantial and premium. This is due to the surface properties, which absorb the ink much better.

The image itself is applied to the plaque using a digital ceramic printer with specialized inks, which is then baked in a kiln at a temperature of 850°C. During this process, the ink penetrates directly into the surface itself and bonds there. Thanks to this, the brightness, quality, and clarity of the images are preserved for more than 50 years, as they do not fade or wash out in the sun.
